GiveVax with BoardVitals this Giving Tuesday

giving tuesday heart

giving tuesday heartWhen Thanksgiving comes around, many people and companies start thinking about how they can give back and contribute to their community. Giving Tuesday is November 29, 2016 and according to the Giving Tuesday foundation, more than 40,000 organizations in 71 different countries have participated in this annual celebration. Giving Tuesday is designed to kick off the season of giving back through the rest of the holiday season and to the end of the year.

BoardVitals is celebrating Giving Tuesday by highlighting a philanthropic effort that we maintain throughout the year: GiveVax. With the purchase of any question bank, BoardVitals donates the money equivalent of one MMR vaccine to Vaccine Ambassadors. In conjunction with our Black Friday sale, BoardVitals commits to double this donation from November 22 through November 29. On Black Friday (Nov 25), Cyber Monday (Nov 28) and Giving Tuesday (Nov 29), BoardVitals will do a surge and triple these donations. This donation is automatic and doesn’t require any action from purchasers. If you are looking to complete continuing medical education requirements or study for an exam, it’s the perfect time to investigate BoardVitals so you can participate in Giving Tuesday and save money with our Black Friday sale!

Vaccine Ambassadors is a partner of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO)- serving children and families in Latin America and the Caribbean.  Donations, such as those received by BoardVitals, go directly to the purchase and delivery of vaccines and related supplies and services in the Region. The statistics concerning the large populations who go unvaccinated are concerning. More than 1.5 million children under the age of 5 die from a vaccine preventable disease each year. We can all do better about informing ourselves of the importance of vaccines and providing care when and where we can.

Check out this infographic we’ve created to bring to light some of the statistics of vaccine preventable diseases.

Andrea Paul, MD“After seeing so many people suffer from vaccine-preventable illness in Africa and Central America during volunteer trips, I know firsthand how much of an impact something as simple as a vaccine can make. It’s time to do our part in spreading awareness and raising the funds necessary to combat preventable diseases,” said Andrea Paul, MD, Chief Medical Officer of BoardVitals.

The #GiveVax initiative marks a turning point for BoardVitals. Over the past three years, BoardVitals has trained more than 100,000 medical and healthcare professionals and served more than 300 institutions. While the company continues to grow, we can really make a significant impact by providing these vaccines to children and communities in need.

“I believe that dollar for dollar vaccines save more lives than anything else that we could invest in,” said Daniel Lambert, CEO of BoardVitals. “BoardVitals is dedicated to improving medicine and healthcare education, and a part of that mission is protecting those who are at risk.”

Take advantage of this holiday season to get involved, we’d love to donate a vaccine on your behalf.

If you’ve already purchased with BoardVitals since we first started #GiveVax, we’d like to extend a wholehearted Thank You! We appreciate your contribution and involvement in such a great cause that we’re proud to be a part of.
