At a Glance

250 total hours every 10 years

By the end of year 3
45 Category 1 ACCME hours
30 Self Assessment Activity hours
By the end of year 5
Preventive Medicine-specific Improvement in Medical Practice (IMP) activity requirement
By the end of year 10
Diplomates whose 10-year Certification Cycle ends on or before January 31, 2023 must take and pass the MOC Exam for the Specialty and/or Subspecialty for which Recertification is being sought.
A total of 100 Category 1 ACCME hours (years 1-10)
1 ABPM-approved Patient Safety Course

Diplomates of the ABPM shall, for each calendar year of 2020, 2021, and 2022, be required to complete 25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM, or its equivalent.

3 Opioid CME (Physicians with NDE-DEA License).
40 AMA PRA or ACCME Category 1 Credits.

The New Hampshire State Board of Medicine requires 100 AMA PRA or ACCME CME hours every two years. At least 40 of these credits must be Category 1 credits. The remaining 60 may be a combination of Category 1 and/or Category 2 credits. Physicians with an NDE-DEA license will also need to complete at least 3 hours of board-approved Opioid CME.
