The Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology requires 30 CME hours in the 3 years preceding the application for recertification. Of these hours, a miminum of 15 must be on the subject of Nuclear Cardiology.

5 hours of CME related to prescribing of medications- emphasis on controlled substances.

The Mississippi State Board of Medicine requires 40 Category 1 CME hours every 2 years. Licensees who hold a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license must complete 5 hours related to prescribing of medications with an emphasis on controlled substances.
