      • Board certification in Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiology.
      • 30 CME hours in the 3 years preceding application (15 of which must be nuclear cardiology specific)

      The Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology requires 30 CME hours in the 3 years preceding the application for recertification. Of these hours, a miminum of 15 must be on the subject of Nuclear Cardiology.

        50 total hours every 2 years

      • 12 CME hours on Pain Management And Appropriate Treatment of the Terminally Ill (One-time requirement).
      • 10 hours of Geriatric Care are required for General Internists and physicians with 25% or more of patients over the age of 65.

      The Medical Board of California requires 50 CME hours every two years. Additionally, the Medical Board of California has a one-time requirement of 12 CME hours on pain management and the appropriate care and treatment of the terminally ill. The 12 hours may be any combination of pain management credits and appropriate care and treatment of the terminally credits. These hours may count towards the 50 hours for the current renewal cycle, and must be completed by the physician's second license renewal date or within four years, whichever comes first.

  • Osteopathic Medical Board of California

        150 total hours every 3 years

      • 12 Pain Management And/Or Treatment of the Terminally Ill (One time requirement).
      • 60 AOA Category 1-A or 1-B CME.

      The Osteopathic Medical Board of California requires 150 hours of AMA Category 1 or AOA Category 1 or 2 CME. During this time, a minimum of 60 credits must be AOA 1-A or AOA 1-B, and only a maximum of 90 credits may be category 2A or 3A.

      Additionally, the Osteopathic Medical Board of California has a one-time requirement of 12 CME hours on pain management and the appropriate care and treatment of the terminally ill. The 12 hours may be any combination of pain management credits and appropriate care and treatement of the terminally credits. These hours may count towards the 50 hours for the current renewal cycle, and must be completed by the physician's second license renewal date or within four years, whichever comes first.
