- 1 Safe and Effective Prescribing of Controlled Substances (Only physicians that prescribe substances)

30 total hours every 2 years
Every two years, the Vermont Board of Medical Practice requires 30 AMA PRA Category 1 hours.
Of these hours, 1 must be in hospice, palliative care, or pain management. Licensees that prescribe substances must also complete 1 hour on the topic of safe and effective prescribing of controlled substances.

The Vermont Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons requires 30 CME hours every two years, with a minimum of 12 applied to osteopathic medical education.
Prepare for the ABA and ABPM Pain Medicine Exams while completing 45 Pain Medicine specific Category 1 CME credits.
Palliative Care CME - $39
Earn up to 2 hours Palliative Care specific CME by completing a brief assessment.
