        • MOC Exam

      The American Board of Pediatrics requires 40 self assessment points, 40 Quality Improvement points, and an additional 20 points in either SA or QI, every 5 years.

  • Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners

      • At a Glance

        40 total hours every 2 years

      • 40 AMA Category 1 Credits.
      • 2 Medical Ethics, Pain Management, or Addiction Care.
      • 20 Physician's Primary Area of Practice.
      • 2 Suicide Prevention & Awareness (only if specialty is Psychiatry).

      The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners requires 40 hours of AMA Category 1 credits. Of these hours, 20 must be in physician's area of practice, and 2 in either Medical Ethics, Pain Management, or Addiction Care. If you are a medical doctor whose specialty is Psychiatry, you are also required to complete a minimum of 2 hours in the area of suicide prevention and awareness.
