      • At a Glance

      • By the end of year 5

        • 1 SESATS Excercise
        • 150 Category 1 CME hours
        • 1 Patient Safety Module
        • 1 Performance Quality Improvement
      • By the end of year 10

        • 150 Category 1 CME hours
        • MOC Exam (years 8-10)
        • 1 Patient Safety Module
        • 1 Performance Quality Improvement

      The American Board of Thoracic Surgery requires 150 hours of AMA Category 1 CME hours over a 5 year period.
      Of these hours, a minimum of 75 must be on the broad subject of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

      In addition, each Diplomate must complete the SESATS exercise during the fifth year of their MOC cycle.

        60 total hours every 3 years

      • 60 AMA Category 1 Credits.

      The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision requires 60 AMA Category 1 hours every three years.

  • Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners

      • At a Glance

        16 total hours every 1 year

      • 1 Proper Prescribing CME.
      • 16 AOA Category 1 CME.

      The Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners requires 16 AOA Category 1 credits. Every other year, one of these hours must be on the topic of the proper prescribing, dispensing, and administering of Controlled Dangerous Substances.
