      The American Board of Neurological Surgery requires 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ hours every year.

      Learners must complete a self-assessment learning tool each year, a Patient Safety Module, as well as a Chief of Staff questionnaire.

  • Arizona Medical Board

      • At a Glance

        40 total hours every 2 years

      • 40 AMA/AOA Category 1/Category 2 credits.
      • 1 3 CME hours relating to the safe prescribing of opioids

      The Arizona Medical Board requires 40 CME hours over a two year licensure period. The board does not allow for rollover credits.

      The physician shall ensure at least 3 of the credit hours of continuing medical education are certified as Category 1 and addresses the effective and safe prescribing of opioids;

  • Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners in Medicine and Surgery

      • 24 AOA Category 1 Credits.

      The Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners in Medicine and Surgery requires 40 CME hours every 2 years, due on either the end of an even or odd year (dependent upon your birth year). Of these credits, at least 24 must be AOA Category 1 credits.
