      The ABMGG MOC process includes four components.

      Part one is Professionalism and Professional Standing. This includes the requirement of either a medical license or a letter of attestation of professional conduct (LAPC). This is a requirement on an ongoing basis.
      Part two is Lifelong Learning and Assessment, including literature review modules and an average of 25 CMEs/year.
      Part three is the cognitive exam per specialty area (once every ten years).
      Part four is the practice evaluation/improvement modules in areas consistent with scope of practice.
