The Virginia Board of Medicine requires 60 CME hours every two years, of which a minimum of 30 must be Category 1 credits and no more than 30 may consist of Category 2 credits. Additionally, the Board requires at least 2 hours of Controlled Substances CME that may be part of the Category 1 requirement.
