Preventive Medicine-specific Improvement in Medical Practice (IMP) activity requirement
By the end of year 10
Diplomates whose 10-year Certification Cycle ends on or before January 31, 2023 must take and pass the MOC Exam for the Specialty and/or Subspecialty for which Recertification is being sought.
A total of 100 Category 1 ACCME hours (years 1-10)
1 ABPM-approved Patient Safety Course

Diplomates of the ABPM shall, for each calendar year of 2020, 2021, and 2022, be required to complete 25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM, or its equivalent.

The District of Columbia Board of Medicine requires 50 AMA PRA Category 1 credits every 2 years, which includes at least two (2) hours in the subject of LGBTQ cultural competency and at least one (1) course in the subject of pharmacology.
